Many remember the dreaded Red Ring of Death, three flashing red lights on the Xbox 360 power button that meant the console was unusable, often permanently. The new virtual museum allows players to take a tour of Xbox ’s history from the comfort of their homes and captures one of the Xbox 360's most iconic “features:” the Red Ring of Death.

The Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X have kept that momentum going, with the brand still going strong at 20 years ( even Nintendo’s ex-president grabbed an Xbox). The company found even greater success with the Xbox 360, which had a lineup of games that are fondly remembered.
The console gained immediate popularity, helped by having the original Halo: Combat Evolved as one of its launch titles to reinvent the concept of an FPS game played on a console.
The original Xbox launched twenty years ago on November 15, 2001, and made waves from the moment it was released. The company has been holding events and special product releases throughout the year as part of the party, including the much sought-after Xbox mini-fridge (which might be available earlier than expected). Xbox is celebrating its 20 th anniversary and has included a virtual museum to take players down memory lane, reminding everyone of both the good and the bad.
